Initial Consultation
We generally charge nothing for an initial one hour consultation, pending most conditions.
An attorney will screen your case via telephone and determine if we are a fit.
If we do not feel we can help you, we will not waste your time or ours.
Legal and Auditing Advice;
Arbitration, Mediation, & Consolation
We utilize several different fee arrangements.
Flat Fee
This is used when the scope of service is generally predictable such as a closing, an uncontested divorce, bankruptcy, preparation of a document such as a Will, Power of Attorney, Easement, etc.
Hourly Fee
We charge different hourly rates for attorney and paralegal services. We bill the time spent in your file at .1 hour increments.
Percentage Fee
Our standard percentage fee is one-third of the gross amount of recovery. This arrangement is generally used in personal injury matters. A lesser percentage is used in Worker’s Compensation matters and is set by statute.
Combination Flat Fee and Percentage
We rarely agree to this arrangement which requires the client to pay an initial retainer and percentage of any monetary recovery. This arrangement might be used where the client’s primary focus is not the recovery of monetary damages which might be limited but the establishment of a legal status, right or privilege.
Please note: all fee arrangements, excluding flat fee, require payment of all
out-of-pocket costs in addition to the attorney’s fee.
