The Glory of a Good Lawyer

Is to Win a Bad Trial.

( Balzac)

Value 01.

Perspective

Since being in private practice for over four decades, there have been many changes in the legal profession. Judges seem to be getting younger, and (with a few exceptions) are more personable and civil to clients and lawyers. There are more female attorneys and judges; however, lawyers, regardless of gender, seem to be getting less civil.

Although the internet allows more access to the public to learn about the legal process and the law, it has also opened the door to misinterpretation and misapplication of legal principles to the facts. There are more assumptions that the outcome in a case in another state will apply in this jurisdiction.
